    The Runnels Gallery at Eastern New Mexico University has announced its latest exhibition, "Beautiful Utility," will on display through Sept. 20. This exhibition celebrates the artistry and heritage of Afghan blankets, "a vibrant expression of textile craftsmanship that intertwines utility and beauty," according to an ENMU news release.   • ENMU receives $2 million donation

    Eastern New Mexico University has received a $2 million donation from the Allsup Family Charitable Foundation, according to a university news release. Officials said the donation is the largest single donation ever made to the ENMU Foundation. Approximately $418,200 of the funds will be dedicated to early childhood initiatives, including the “We Believe in You” scholarship, a Child Development Center internship program and a farm-to-table initiative. Teresa Leger Fernández, D-N.M., presented a Congressional Record Certificate to the Eastern New Mexico University Greyhound Sound Marching Band on Friday at Buchanan Hall in the Music Building on the ENMU main campus.     This week marks the 90-year anniversary of the administration building dedication on the Eastern New Mexico University campus. On Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 23, 1933, about 7,000 people gathered to celebrate the opening of the building on the Eastern New Mexico Junior College campus. Gov. A.W.
