Four area counties reported almost no changes from Tuesday when they reviewed election totals late last week. County officials in Curry, Quay, Roosevelt and DeBaca added a combined seven votes to election-night numbers, not nearly enough to influence the outcome of a close Amendment 2 race. Roads were flooded around Melrose late Saturday night as a stalled thunderstorm dumped between 3 and 4 inches of moisture on farms and ranches in the area.
