Drawn inside due to freezing temperatures, Clovis and Portales-area residents on Monday celebrated civil rights and diversity on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Clovis’ mayor’s position and four City Commission seats will be contested when voters go to the polls on March 5. Thirteen city residents signed up Tuesday for six positions on the ballot.
