    Portales Police arrested a man for felony aggravated battery of a household member and two counts of child abuse Monday night. At 10 p.m., Quarry Ren, 29, who lives at North Avenue I, was seen chasing a vehicle when the officer pulled him over on East Juniper Street and Boston Avenue, according to Police Capt., Lonnie Berry.     Steiner Elementary School was locked down Wednesday for 20 minutes after a man walked into the secretary’s office and stole her purse, according to Portales police. Police Capt.     PNT staff reports Law enforcement officials found blood but no people upon arriving at the scene of a one-vehicle rollover Monday afternoon on N.M. 358 in northeast Roosevelt County. County Sheriff Darren Hooker said he and a deputy responded to the call about the wreck around 1 p.m. A van had left the road, and the driver then overcorrected, rolling the van at least twice on the road, Hooker said.     PNT staff reports A New Mexico State Forestry Division investigator has ruled the cause of the grassfire southwest of Causey on April 9 could not be determined, according to Roosevelt County Sheriff Darren Hooker.     A 17-year-old male was stabbed Sunday night in the 800 block of South Avenue B, according to Portales Police Capt. Lonnie Berry. Police were called to the residence at 7:44 p.m. Sunday, and found the 17-year-old had been stabbed in the stomach area during an altercation.     A man police say was traveling across the state passing himself off to hospitals as a physical therapist was arrested Wednesday in Portales on a tip from Roosevelt General Hospital.     A Portales police spokesman said a phone call reporting an armed robbery at a local bank on Friday that turned out to be a false alarm was made using a pre-paid phone. Police Capt. Lonnie Berry said police were unable to determine an exact location from where the call was made or who owned the phone because a person does not need to provide personal information when purchasing a pre-paid phone.
