    Clovis Community College has more fall graduates this year than in 2023. The news came from CCC President Jonathan Fuentes to the college’s Board of Trustees on Wednesday at their regular December meeting.     The Curry County Health Council has bicycle helmets available for school-aged children, it announced Friday in a news release. “Bicycle helmets include sizes extra small, small/medium, and large/x-large.     A Clovis grand jury on Friday determined two teenage boys can be tried as adults in connection with the Nov. 14 slaying of a Clovis man in the Hilltop Plaza parking lot. The grand jury returned indictments against Jacob Garcia and Gustavo Herrera, both 16, said prosecutor Jake Boazman. Court records show Fredy Portillo, 31, was believed to be driving a silver Chevrolet pickup that collided head-on with a gray Nissan sport utility vehicle at the intersection of State Road 267 and South Roosevelt Road V on Tuesday night. The money came to the state in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak of 2020 as “state and local fiscal recovery funds,” according to a news release from the auditor’s office.     A Sunday night fire destroyed an empty trailer and empty recreational vehicle in the 300 block of Dawn Loop in Clovis, said Deputy Fire Chief Terrance Lizardo.
