    Freedom New Mexico The Roosevelt County and Clovis Curry chambers of commerce are giving businesses a chance to lobby during their annual Legislative Days activities prior to the start of the state legislative session.   • Joe's Boot Shop reports burglaries

    Joe’s Boot Shop, 2600 Mabry Dr., has been burglarized twice in the last week, according to Coli D. Hunt, the shop’s owner. A Clovis Police report shows Hunt reported the glass front door of his building was broken by burglars on Dec. 28. Hunt estimated that $1,500 worth of perfume, cologne and jewelry were taken fro the display area during the burglary. Hunt said video footage of the second burglary on Wednesday morning showed two individuals in shop. He said they took $10 cash from underneath the main register. Hunt sai... Full story

    Local state representatives say big changes are in store for state House districts under a new redistricting plan declared law Tuesday by Santa Fe Judge James Hall. "My district currently stretches from Portales to the Colorado state line but in the new map, I would take on a bigger portion of Portales, almost the whole eastern portion," said Rep. I live it vicariously through my husband, but I live it every bit as much as he does, except I don't have to wear those lovely little P.T. shorts three times a week! It's a feeling I hope I never take for granted...
