  • Clovis sweeps at Goddard

The Staff of The News|Updated Jan 25, 2020

Senior center Bryce Cabeldue scored 20 points and senior guard Dewayne Dawson added 16, including three of the team’s five 3-pointers, and the Wildcats led start to finish in a 64-48 victory over Roswell Goddard. The Cats (14-5), who beat Class 5A second-ra...

    Peter Stein - Staff Writer|Updated Jan 25, 2020

PORTALES — Portales’ boys basketball team is 4A, Carlsbad’s 5A. But they both see benefits in playing each other. We wish them luck the rest of the year, but I’m just proud of our boys for sticking it out and extending the lead.” “It’s great,” Portales head coa...
