    The cold snap that hit eastern New Mexico on Tuesday should continue into Wednesday night, and area residents can expect cold nights for the foreseeable future. Tuesday saw a light snowfall in the area and temperatures were expected to dip to a low of 11 degrees.   • Three injured by early-morning gunfire

    CLOVIS — Police are investigating an early-Sunday incident in which three men were shot. A police news release states officers responded to a "shots fired" call at 3:20 a.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of Westchester Avenue in Clovis. All three victims were taken to Plains Regional Medical Center; two were then transferred to a Lubbock hospital, the release said. Two victims are 21; the third is 19.     CLOVIS — The former director of the Curry Resident Senior Meals Association apologized for her 2018 embezzlement from the program, and asked the court Wednesday for leniency in her sentence. “I messed up,” Cherisse Perez said through tears. “I apologize to the seniors.
