    CMI staff A Roosevelt County sheriff’s deputy was uninjured after the work vehicle she was driving was hit by a train Wednesday morning south of Portales, according to Chief Deputy Malin Parker. Parker said Deputy Amber Parker was crossing the tracks at Roosevelt Road U and U.S. 70 about 8:30 when a southbound train struck the back end of the sheriff’s office vehicle. Parker said the deputy, who refused medical treatment, returned to work later in the day. He did not have an estimate of the damage to the vehicle. Malin Par...
