    On this date … 1952: Isaac Lorah, who lived at 820 Brazos St. in Portales, said he was about to retire from his trade as a blacksmith – “at the tender age of 85,” The Portales Tribune reported.     A job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday will recruit assistants for the city of Clovis new Summer Youth Program and lifeguards for the Clovis Aquatic Center. The job fair will be held at the Clovis Aquatic Center, at 1700 E. Seventh St., Clovis.     Cable television is coming to an end for one carrier in the region. Plateau Telecommunications has announced that their cable service, Plateau TV and the television Plateau Stream will cease at 11:59 p.m. June 30. “Plateau is exiting the TV business,” Jack Nuttall said.
