Lujan drops from county commission race A candidate for the open District 4 seat on the Curry County Commission has announced she is withdrawing from the race. Emily Vander Dussen — listed on the ballot as Emily Rose Lujan — will no longer seek the Democratic nomination in District 4. Because she missed the April 5 deadline to withdraw, she will remain on the ballot.
