    The Curry County Commission on Monday unanimously approved an infrastructure capital improvement plan for the La Casa Senior Center. Ben Roberts, public services director for Curry County, presented the resolution to commissioners. “The due dates for the ICIP’s have been moved up with the senior center being due on May 15 this year,” Roberts said.     A Muleshoe woman died Wednesday night in a vehicle crash in Lamb County, Texas, near Amherst. Sherri Harrison, 57, was killed after her 2009 Toyota Camry collided with a truck near the intersection of U.S. 84 and Farm to Market Road 37, according to a report by the Texas Department of Public Safety.   • Clovis man found guilty of two counts of battery on peace officer

    A Clovis man Thursday was found guilty of two counts of battery on a peace officer by a Curry County jury. Francisco Arzola, 46, was accused of punching one officer in the neck and scratching another officer as they attempted to serve a warrant against him in 2021. The warrant was for failure to pay fines, according to a news release from 9th Judicial District Attorney Quentin Ray. Arzola is to be sentenced later this month.
