    STAFF REPORT A Portales man was transported to the hospital with a bullet wound Tuesday morning after six shots were fired on South Abilene. The shots were fired around 11:45 a.m. Portales Police Department Detective Charlie Smart said a verbal argument broke out between two male subjects in the area of Abilene and Seventh Street Tuesday morning.
