PORTALES — A man suspected of fleeing from a fatal one-vehicle crash in Portales two years ago has been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide. Records show Jose Angel Calderon, 28, was booked in the Roosevelt County Detention Center on Thursday night and charged with homicide by vehicle, great bodily injury by vehicle (DWI), and leaving the scene of an accident, among other charges. CLOVIS — More than 30 criminal cases have been dismissed due to “serious credibility issues” for their association with a fired Curry County sheriff’s deputy, according to District Attorney Andrea Reeb.
