PORTALES — “Gotta Catch ’Em All.” Again. Pokemon Go “trainers” have a new reason to update their “Pokedex,” according to local player, Andres Labastida-Arviso. Labastida-Arviso said that since its release a year ago there have been several updates to Pokemon Go, a game for mobile devices created by Niantic, Inc. TEXICO — Competitive dominoes and decorative plaques bring players from all over Texas and New Mexico for Texico’s Shoot Out Domino tournament. The two-day tournament started Friday night and is one of three tournaments held by Curry County’s 42 League that can gain a player points for national competition. PORTALES — Portales’ airport will soon be getting a $431,890 economic boost from the federal government. The grant from the Federal Aviation Administration, announced Friday by U.S. Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich in a press release, will pay for the construction of two 12,000 gallon fuel tanks.
