    PORTALES — An attempt by the state to address concerns about a large dip in Portales has seemingly created another issue.     CLOVIS — An exterior door to the office of the 9th Judicial District Attorney was defaced with a marker sometime before Tuesday morning. Assistant District Attorney Kristen Beltran told the newspaper she saw the message “Nazi HQ” written in marker on the upper panel of the entrance to the office on Gidding Street Tuesday morning when she came to work.     CLOVIS — City police have arrested a man who allegedly shot five bullets into a truck in a Denny’s parking lot Saturday night, according to a CPD press release. Jonathan Romero, 22, was arrested early Monday morning, charged with abuse of a child, shooting from a motor vehicle and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, all felonies.     PORTALES — Roosevelt County is planning to eliminate its advisory planning board, and it’s pretty sure nobody will notice the difference. The Roosevelt County Commission expressed intent to adopt a new ordinance to alter its current subdivision regulations during its Tuesday meeting. The Alliance’s “Love Portales” initiative includes a summer full of public activities benefiting residents, including a 10 K run on Saturday.
