    CARLSBAD — The Clovis Zia All-Stars got run-scoring singles from Rafa Maldonado and Edgar Madrid in the top of the seventh and edged Albuquerque Zia 17-15 in a 3 1/2-hour marathon on Tuesday night in the Little League state Junior Division tournament. Clovis Zia trailed 9-2 after two innings, but scored four in the fourth and six in the fifth to pull even 14-14. Gabriel Montoya pitched the final two innings, shutting out Albuquerque Zia.     At a special meeting for the Eastern New Mexico University Board of Regents on Tuesday in the Administration Building, regents approved once again applying for $5.5 million in annual legislative appropriation funds: President Steven Gamble said the funds go toward the athletics department, the KENW television station, the Blackwater Draw museum and site, allied health programs (hearing and speech disabilities, etc.) and getting the new master's program in the nursing department off the ground.     A 22-year-old Clovis man was placed on supervised probation Monday after he pled guilty to robbing a city convenience store last summer, according to a press release to the district attorney's office. Robert Martinez, 22, admitted robbing a Stripes convenience store at Llano Estacado and North Prince Street at gunpoint late at night. His probation term is five years.
