  • Texico students build photo op sign for fairgrounds

    CLOVIS - There's no "I" in team. But there is one in fair, and this year attendees of the Curry County Fair will get a chance to become that "I" at the photo opportunity sign, which was unveiled on Friday. The sign, created by eight Texico High School Future Farmers of America students with the help of FFA instructor Terry Whitener, features a large metal "F," "A," and "R" with a space for people to pose as the "I."   • Clovis man dies after being struck by vehicle

    CLOVIS — A 55-year-old Clovis man died Thursday after he was struck by a vehicle while walking on a dusty county road. Merle Watson died at Plains Regional Medical Center, where he was transported soon after the accident.
