    CLOVIS — A man checked into Plains Regional Medical Center Friday afternoon, city officials said, apparently after suffering burns as a result of a fiery automobile accident in south Clovis. The driver was not identified, and Clovis Fire Department Battalion Chief Joel Gershon said the incident remained under investigation Saturday.     PORTALES — A Roosevelt County rancher was indicted Thursday on 18 felony counts including fraud, embezzlement and racketeering during a three-year period leading the Miss New Mexico Scholarship Organization.
