LAS CRUCES — Clovis High grad Travis Reid shot a 36-hole score of 132, 12 under par, to take a four-shot victory over former CHS teammate Robert Goff in the fifth annual Messilla Valley Amateur golf tournament at New Mexico State Univesity’s golf course. School band ready to perform Under Band Director Cindy Stone, junior high band students are preparing for their first performances. The entire band will march with the high school band at the home football game Sept. 29. The next morning the advanced band will march and play in the Eastern New Mexico University’s homecoming parade. When draft day came in May, the cell phone never rang for Hank Baskett. The same thing happened Saturday for Baskett, and it’s the best birthday present he could imagine.
