  • Teen injured in motorcycle wreck

    CLOVIS -- A teenage boy was taken to the Clovis hospital Thursday afternoon after his motorcycle collided with a 2017 Toyota Tundra at 10th and Hickory streets. Police said the accident was reported at 4:49 p.m. A police news release stated the youth suffered "severe facial and other physical injuries."     Curry County reached an unwanted milestone Wednesday, with the Department of Health reporting the county’s 100th death related to COVID-19. DOH reported 18 new deaths in its Wednesday briefing, including four residents of Curry County.     CLOVIS – The driver suspected in a hit-and-run that claimed the life of a Clovis woman on Aug. 29 still has not been identified by police, who are not releasing additional information. District Attorney Andrea Reeb told The News on Tuesday she still has not seen a case file on the incident that claimed the life of Martha Castillo.
