Clovis native Bud Kingston first had the idea 25 years ago, but his work as a cowboy got in the way and he had to put it off. Last week, he completed his dream of traveling horseback across New Mexico, raising money for abandoned and abused horses at the same time. The Gattis 7th grade football team opened its season with a pair of wins, defeating Lovington 12-0 and Yucca 28-0.
