    Roosevelt and Curry counties have much more cotton than normal this year, and the crop is shaping up to be excellent, people in local agriculture say. Roosevelt County has 75 percent more cotton than normal this year, said Floyd farmer Allen Deen. Kenny Whitecotton of Strippers Custom Harvesting estimated 5,000-6,000 acres in the Roosevelt County had cotton, and Curry County was up 50 percent to 75 percent in cotton acreage as well.     PORTALES — Eastern New Mexico University freshman midfielder Andy Wilkinson has been selected as the Lone Star Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for his performance last week in the Greyhounds’ 2-1 victory over West Texas A&M. Wilkinson, who is from East Sussex, England, netted the game-winning goal with 2:44 remaining, lifting the Greyhounds to their fifth win in their first six games.
