  • Police: One dead after Sunday morning shooting

    CLOVIS -- Police on Sunday said they're investigating a homicide. Police said they responded to 125 El Camino about 10:40 a.m. Sunday after receiving a report of a shooting victim. They found a 28-year-old man with "multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso area," according to a news release. The man died soon after arriving via ambulance at Plains Regional Medical Center.     Gas prices are slightly less, on average, in Curry, Roosevelt and Quay counties than in the rest of the state, according to AAA, the auto travel assistance membership organization. According to a news release from AAA, the statewide average gas price recorded Thursday was $3.17 per gallon, up five cents per gallon from last week.
