PORTALES — A former manager of the Portales Country Club was arrested Thursday on 54 counts of embezzlement. Neva McDaniel, 61, was charged after a Portales Police Department investigation found she embezzled over $25,000 from January 2014 to November 2016, according to the arrest affidavit.
