    Dave Wagner

Staff writer [email protected] Back in 2001, Cinco Boone helped lead the Portales Rams to their most recent state basketball championship. Boone is now the leader of a different Rams team. He will lead Angelo State’s Rams into Greyhound Arena for a 4 p.m. Lone Star Conference men’s game today, his first trip back to Portales at a head coach. • Cleveland makes quick work of Wildcats

    Kevin Wilson

DEPUTY EDITOR [email protected] If the 16-0 Cleveland run to start the game wasn’t enough indication the Clovis Wildcats might be a little overmatched, the indisputable evidence came later in the first quarter when the Storm’s bench players hit NBA 3s and scored on backdoor lobs. • Berry: No broken resolutions this year

January is half over and I am sure that many have already broken their new year’s resolutions. I am happy to say that I do not fit into this category. I am sure that most of the things I pledged to do were the same as many others. I think most years I had listed weight loss as a goal, being healthy, saving money and I think I tried one time to...
