    One of the top coaches in college football is on his way to L.A., the Los Angeles Times reported Sunday. USC is closing its three-month search for a new head football coach with a bombshell hire, landing Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley to turn around the Trojans program.     SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Health confirmed 1,409 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, including 17 in Curry County and 20 in Roosevelt County. The cases pushed the state to 308,091 cases since the start of the pandemic last March, with 5,310 deaths. The state reported 21 deaths Wednesday, none from Curry or Roosevelt counties.
