The New Mexico Supreme Court has affirmed a 2013 murder conviction in Curry County, according to a Thursday release from Attorney General Hector Balderas. Albert Jose Ramirez will remain in prison, where he is serving a sentence of life - 30 years before the possibility of parole - plus six years. CLOVIS — A trial for the man accused of killing a young mother in a Clovis park more than two years ago has been postponed until April. Matthew Jennings, 27, was scheduled to face murder charges at trial next week. But this week, District Judge Drew Tatum postponed proceedings until April 17-21.
