    The Sunday night wind storm has created a "tumbleweed nightmare" across much of the region, according to a news release from Roosevelt County. "Many of the roads throughout (Roosevelt County) have sustained a large influx of the weeds. Masini scored 25 of his personal-best 31 points over the final two cantos as the Coyotes rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit to beat the Portales junior varsity 52-45 in the opening round of the J.P.     MULESHOE — It was quite the spectacular way for the Muleshoe boys to open their 2020-21 season. Junior Irvin Torres nailed a 3-point shot from just inside halfcourt at the final buzzer, giving the Mules a 65-62 victory over Lockney on Tuesday night.
