There will be Christmas closings in Clovis

All city and county offices will be open until 5 p.m. today for Christmas Eve, officials said.

However, most city and county offices will be closed Thursday and Friday for the Christmas holiday, they added.

City sanitation trucks will not make pick ups Thursday, Christmas Day; however, the trucks will make commercial pick ups Friday, a spokeswoman said.

All city parks will be closed both Thursday and Friday, a spokesman said.

All county offices will be closed both days, officials said.

At the News-Journal, all business offices will close at noon. Business offices will be closed all day Christmas; however, the circulation department’s customer service department will be available by phone from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday. The phone number for customer service is 763-3431, said Circulation Department director Lynn Berry.

The News-Journal news department will be staffed throughout the holiday.
