A resident of the 300 block of Merriwether called police about 6 p.m. on April 5 to report that his vehicle had been vandalized.
The resident said an induction hood and air breather had been taken from his 1969 Chevy El Camino. He told officers that a person had been seen “messing with” his vehicle several days earlier. The vehicle owner said a person had tried to buy the vehicle hood but he had refused to sell it.

About 1 a.m. April 8, police saw a car make a wide turn out of a Clovis bar driveway, nearly colliding with the curb. While following the car, officers observed it straddling the white dashed centerline.
After stopping the car, officers gave field sobriety tests to the 28-year-old female driver, which she failed. A subsequent breath alcohol test gave results of 0.16 and 0.17. Police arrested her for aggravated driving while intoxicated, first offense, and failure to maintain traffic lane.

Police received an identity theft report about 9:30 a.m. Monday from a man who said two of his rental tenants had set up electric service under his name. The landlord later contacted police for advice on how to evict his tenants.

A Clovis woman came to the police department about 11:40 a.m. Monday reporting that her husband of less than 30 days had stolen her 2002 Oldsmobile Alero, bragging that he was going to take it to a chop shop and get the car taken apart.
Police had her sign a vehicle theft affidavit allowing the Gallup Police Department to impound the car. The woman said her mother-in-law had seen the car being driven in the Gallup area.

Police arrived at Clovis High School about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday and served a warrant on a 15-year-old girl for failure to pay a $375 fine for an August 2003 conviction of no driver’s license. The student admitted she had agreed to pay but had not done so. Police handcuffed her and transported her to the Curry County Juvenile Detention Center where she was booked on the warrant.

About 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a fast food restaurant regarding drug paraphernalia found in the bathroom.
The manager told police he recognized the items and believed residue on an ID card found in the bathroom was methamphetamine. The manager said the ID card belonged to an employee and named a second employee who he believed might also be involved.
Narcotics agents were called to the scene to do further investigation and collect evidence.

About 2:25 p.m. Tuesday, agents from the Region 5 Drug Task Force and Clovis Police Department executed a search warrant for controlled substances at the 200 block of Lincoln. After breaching locked doors, police found a male and female in bed, handcuffed them, and took them into another room. A search of the premises found a large amount of methamphetamine and the man was arrested for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
