On the Web: http://www.astroleague.org

The Clovis Astronomy Club will hold “Astronomy Day” activities from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Clovis-Carver Public Library north annex.

Club Secretary Carol Nash said telescopes, displays, giveaways and hands-on activities will take place throughout the afternoon.

She said the club has about 15 members from around the area and is part the Astronomical League, a confederation of amateur astronomers and astronomy organizations.

If the weather permits there will be a “Star Party” at 7:30 p.m. in the library parking lot. Club members will have telescopes available for use and will be on site to answer questions.

The public is invited to attend both events.

For more information call Nash at 985-7455.
