Friendship Rebekah Lodge

The Friendship Rebekah Lodge members met at the Sundance on April 20 for supper and then to the I.O.O.F. Hall for the regular meeting.

It was the official visit of the Assembly President, Vianna Steffens.

After the short business meeting, Erena Goar and Eveln Calder did a skit depicting the words of “The Old Rugged Cross.” The president outlined a project which is to be a memorial wall at the campground in the Monzano mountains.

The next meeting will be a pot luck supper at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Oddfellows on the 185th anniversary of the order in North America.

Pleasant Hill Womens Club

The Pleasant Hill Womens Club met on April 15 for their monthly meeting, with nine members and one guest present. Hostesses, Lueta Clark and Nancy Barnes, served a roast beef and trimmings meal.

Sharon Ragland and guest Jean Harden demonstrated how to make water falls of flower pots and bowls for inside use, Easter eggs out of beads, and crosses decorated with tile.

Alice Pierce, president, presided over the business meeting. Elsie Dean read the minutes and Bertha Kelley gave the treasurer’s report. Bertha Kelley, Frances Webb, Donna Donnahey and Elsie Dean are the new nominating committee for next year.
