Florence Mildred “Mickey” Grubelnik, 83, of Raton died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, at Miners’ Colfax Medical Center in Raton.
She was born on Nov. 28, 1920, to Ethel Mae and William L. Turner.
She was a member of the First Christian Church. Family members said she enjoyed hunting and fishing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. “Pug” Grubelnik; her parents; a daughter, Cynthia Jean Grubelnik Hopper; a brother; and three sisters.
Survivors include a son, Robert Carl “Skip” Grubelnik (and wife, Pat) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren, Kevin Grubelnik (Sandy) of Colorado Springs, Brian Grubelnik (Pollyann) of Nashville, Tenn., Chanin Grubelnik Wilson (Herb) of Westminster, Colo., and Janice Hopper Stroud (David) of Portales; nine great-grandchildren, Nicole, Charleeann, Michael, Zachary, Alexander, Brandon, Regan, Shania and Maegan; a son-in-law, Melvin “Sonny” Hopper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Mike Hensley will officiate the services.
Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery in Raton.
Arrangements are by Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
