Clovis hosting state women’s convention
The State Women's Convention of the Church of God in Christ is coming to Clovis from May 18- 21.
Services will be each night at 7:30 p.m. at the First Church of God in Christ in Clovis at 3400 Vinton St., where Bishop Charles Green is the pastor. For information, contact Mother Lula Kitchen, supervisor of women for the New Mexico Jurisdiction of the denomination, at 434-3221.
Country Gospel singer performing
Myra Green will present two Country Gospel concerts in Clovis.
On Sunday, Green will sing at 6 p.m. at Forrest Heights Baptist Church, located at 1701 S. Prince. She will also present a second concert at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Cowboy Church at 504 S. Hull.
Admission to both concerts is free and the public is invited.
Deliverance Temple
hosting conference
Deliverance Temple in Clovis is hosting a woman’s conference with the theme of finding a woman who meets the standards of Proverbs 31.
The church, located at 905 Rio Street, will have a number of speakers for workshops from May 14-16. For further information, call Roseline Curtiss at 749-9951.
