Orville Baker

Services: 2 p.m. Monday at the American Legion in Logan

Mr. Orville Baker, 71, of Clovis, a retired construction foreman, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, in Amarillo.

He was born on March 6, 1933, in Little Rock, Ark., to Bill and Hazel Baker.

He served in the Korean War. After returning, he served in the Army Reserves. He married Maurine Peterson on May 14, 1958. Family members said he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and his wife.

Survivors include a daughter, LaVaga “Ann” Annette Baker Morrison (and husband, David) of Clovis; two grandchildren, Chance and Breann Morrison, both of Clovis; and a brother, Harvey Vancleve of Lovington.

Family visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday at 3233 Wallace in Clovis.

Cremation has taken place.

Arrangements are by Boxwell Funeral Home of Amarillo.
