William Locknane

Mr. William Eugene Locknane, 75, of Clovis, died Thursday, May 6, 2004, at Farwell Convalescent Center.

He was born on May 4, 1929, in Clovis, to Jesse and Ruby Dunn Locknane.

He married June Edwards on June 11, 1950, in Clovis. He was employed by ICX Freight for 25 years and farmed and ranched in the Broadview area. He was a member of Parkland Baptist Church and was a 4-H leader for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, J.D.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Karen James (and husband, Don) of Plainview, Texas, Ann Callaway (Jimmy) of Lubbock and Jane Rowan (Keith) of O’Brien, Texas; two sons, Bill Locknane (Denise) of Pampa, Texas, and Morris Locknane (Jerri) of Lubbock; a sister, Angie Fite (Bob) of Roswell; nine grandchildren, Randy James (Cory), Gina James, Grady Locknane (Celeste), Cortney Locknane, Cody Locknane, Kiel and Kate Rowan and Murray and Blake Locknane.

Herbert Bergstrom will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Wheatland Cemetery.

Pallbearers are his grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkland Baptist Church Building Fund.
