Mrs. Elsie G. Burnett, 91, of Clovis, died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at her home.

She was born on June 17, 1913, in Spur, Texas, to Jackson and Lessie Parrish Garrett.

She married Elmer Burnett on Sept. 12, 1931, in Clovis. She lived most of her life in the Bellview community. She farmed with her husband until they moved to Clovis in 1977. She was a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sons, Jimmy and Robert; two sisters, Cenona and Cleta; a brother, Judge Garrett; and a granddaughter, Miranda Lei Burnett.

Survivors include a son, Joe Burnett (and wife, Terri) of Amarillo; a sister, Audine of Whittier, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Brad Reeves will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis.

Pallbearers are her grandsons.
