AMARILLO — Brady Black rushed for 182 and two touchdowns as Muleshoe extended its playoff mastery over Perryton with a 30-13 win Thursday at Dick Bivins Stadium.
Brant Hamilton passed for 103 yards and a touchdown and ran for another as the Mules rolled up 422 yards of offense while beating the 11th-ranked Rangers in the Class 3A Division II contest.
It is the third time in seven years Muleshoe has beaten the Rangers in the bi-district round.
Muleshoe (10-3) takes on the winner of Friday’s contest between Snyder and Midland Greenwood in next week’s area round.
Muleshoe broke the game open by scoring the first 17 points of the second half, a run that included Black’s 35-yard scamper and Hamilton’s 1-yard run.
Bo Merrell rushed for 90 yards and threw for a pair of touchdowns for the Rangers, who finished the season 7-3.
