Nov. 21 Broad Horizons School News

Broad Horizons will host an open house on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Anyone interested in viewing the school is invited to come by 1034 Community Way at this time.

Teachers are sponsoring homemade refreshments for your enjoyment. Students will be dismissed for the Thanksgiving Holiday, but teachers will be on site working in their classrooms and available to answer questions and share their programs of instruction.

Broad Horizons is an alternative high school. As such, we focus on providing education to a special population of young people. Some BHEC students are working to recover their education following extenuating circumstances in their lives. Some students attend Broad Horizons so that they can earn credits toward graduation at a faster pace than is possible at the regular school setting. Some students choose to come here because of the small learning community, support system, and unique programs.

Available to our students are Credit Recovery, Accelerated Academic Program, Concurrent Enrollment, Entrepreneurship, Microsoft I and II Certification, Certified Nursing Assistant, Leadership Service Learning, Independent Studies, GRADS, and Daycare.
