What do you think of Portales?
“Portales has its good points and its bad points. I moved from here two years ago to Orlando, Fla. I missed the small town and knowing everyone, but now that we’ve returned, I miss all the activities our family could do in Florida.”
What do you visualize your life being like in 10 years?
“Happier, healthier and having obtained more wisdom.”
Tell us about your parents:
“I have four wonderful parents. My dad, Gary Damon, works at MTS. My mom, Sue Damon, helps me with the kids and is my best friend. They are both very supportive. My father-in-law, Kevin Seales, is great — he works for the city of Portales. My mother-in-law, Pauline Seales is a lot of fun to be around. She works at LaCasa. I love them all and wouldn’t know what to do without them”
What is your greatest hope?
“That all of my family will lead wonderful, healthy lives with all their dreams coming true.”
If money were no object, what would you do to make the world a better place?
“Feed the hungry children in America.”

“Owning my own business, Candyland.”
When you were a kid, what did you think you’d be doing as an adult?
“Working as an actress in the movies, and not working as a store manager for those that have made movies. I prayed that I would be in the movies — I guess I didn’t pray specifically enough.”

“Marrying my high school sweetheart.”

“Carol Burnett Show – past; Whose Line is it Anyway – present.”
What is your favorite book and why?
“Dave Ramsey’s books. I think they have a lot of spiritual teaching along with financial teaching.
What is your favorite smell?
“Pumpkin pie baking in the oven.”

“The Mighty Mouse theme.”
What’s your idea of a perfect day?
“Enjoying time with all of my family.”
Tell us about your spouse:
“Doug is the love of my life. We began dating in the 8th grade. After high school and 13 matrimonial years later, he has proved in being a wonderful husband and father to me and the kids. He makes me laugh and comforts me when I cry. No matter how I act, he puts up with me. He’s my rock. And he’s definitely a better cook than I am.”
If you could redo one moment in life, what would it be? Why?
“Getting credit cards! I don’t like being in debt.”
