Otilia Lopez Zamora, 90, of Fort Sumner, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004 at her home.

She was born Jan. 23, 1914, at Los Ojitos to Gregorio Lopez and Demetria Ronquillo. She attended school at Los Ojitos. She married Herminio (Fermin) Zamora on July 7, 1936, in Puerto De Luna. She lived in Cadenas and Yeso. She moved to Fort Sumner in 1964. Family members said she was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and visiting with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Fort Sumner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Regino Lopez and Elauterio Lopez; and a sister, Martina Casaus.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Casaus (and husband, Catarino) of Fort Sumner; two sons, Pablo Zamora (Esther) of Fort Sumner and Regino Zamora (Betty) of Lubbock; three brothers, Alberto Lopez of Fort Sumner, Ezequiel and Gregorio Lopez both of Albuquerque; three sisters Vita Chavez, Mela Garcia, and Mary Baca all of Albuquerque; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.

Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner.

Father Sotero A. Sena will officiate the services.

Burial will be at St. Anthony Cemetery in Fort Sumner.

Pallbearers will be Greg, Carl, Larry Paul and Randy Zamora, Jesse, and Ricky Casaus, Paul Lucero, Bobby and Brenton Williamson, and Joey Torres.

Honorary bearers will be all her friends and family.

Arrangements are by Chavez Funeral Home in Fort Sumner.
