Government offices, banks closed today

Many government offices will be closed today and Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

City Hall, the Department of Building Safety and the city animal shelter will be closed today and Friday, city officials said.

Some city trash pickups will be conducted on Friday. Hillcrest Park Zoo will be closed today and Friday.

Clovis-Carver Public Library is closed today, Friday and Saturday, officials said.

Curry County offices also are closed today and Friday.

Curry County Detention Center will not offer visitation today or Friday.

Most banks are also closed.

Clovis News Journal offices will be closed today but open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. Anyone not receiving their paper may call the circulation department at 763-3431 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 a.m.
