Conquerors post win over Amarillo Home School

AMARILLO — Luis McCain scored 27 points Tuesday night as the Faith Triumphant boys basketball bounced back from its first loss of the season the night before to pound Amarillo Home School 92-52.

Caleb Richards added 22 points, Seth Pearson 21 and Tim Smith 10 for the Conquerors (6-1), who were beaten at Elida 62-41 on Monday night.

The FTCS girls, playing with a combined high school/junior high roster, absorbed a 39-21 loss to Home School. Eighth grader Jessica McCain scored eight points for the Lady Conquerors, while seventh grader Reshea Kelly collected seven points, seven rebounds and seven steals.

FTCS squads return to action on Jan. 7 with games in Amarillo against Bible Heritage.
