Samplings of recent calls received by Clovis-area law enforcement officers, according to reports:

Police were dispatched Thursday to the 200 block of Tennessee Street on a vehicle theft.

The officer spoke with the car’s owner, who said it had been taken from his driveway.

The owner said no glass was seen in the area where the car had been, but the doors had been locked. There was only a two-hour window when the car could have been taken, he said.

There are no known suspects at this time.

Police responded Friday to the 400 block of N. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on a burglary call.

The female victim said someone had broken into her house and taken her money.

She said her Social Security money had been taken from a secret place behind a mirror.

She provided the name of a man who she said comes down from Amarillo just to harass her. She said he may have been the thief.

The case remains active pending further information.

Police were dispatched Friday to the 1300 block of Oakhurst Road on a criminal damage report.

The complainant said within the last month someone had cut two tires on his car.

He said the car doesn’t work, so when he saw the flat tires he just thought they were leaking. When changing one of the tires Thursday, he saw it had been slashed.

There are no suspects.
