Serving Clovis, Portales and the Surrounding Communities
The snow was great for the Christmas season. I only saw one snowman but it was a pretty good one and lasted most of two days.
Several senior citizens stayed in as long as it was so icy so I didn’t hear of any mishaps of any kind.
Sympathy
To Karen Skelton and family on the loss of Bro. Phillip in an accident over west of Lubbock. He had stopped to help someone and was struck by another vehicle. The had pastored our Dora Baptist for some time before moving to Lubbock. Their children were already gone from home when the lived in Dora. We pray God comforts each of them in this time of sorrow. The memorial service was Monday morning in Lubbock.

Christmas gathering
The J.T. and Lillie Bell Toombs ranch home was the family gather place for Sunday. Douglas and his wife had been here for several days.
Virgil and Mary Blakley also had their family arrive on Sunday for a visit.
