Doris Law Billings, 86, of San Angelo, Texas, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2004, in Midland, Texas.
She was born Oct. 16, 1918 in Lubbock. She married Melvin Billings in 1941 in Lubbock. She was a long-time resident of San Angelo, moving there in 1969. She was a member of Community Hills Christian Church in San Angelo. She was active in the San Angelo Ostomy Organization, a volunteer for the hospital auxiliary for many years, a member of Eastern Star, and active in her Friendship class at church, family members said.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and three sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Pat Young (and husband, Joel) of Midland, Texas; a son, Mike Billings (Phyllis) of Bedford, Texas; a sister, Inez Scharnberg of Katy, Texas; grandchildren, Dondi Moran of McKinney, Texas, Joeli Young of Midland, Texas, Mykala Hale of Dallas, Paige Alfonso of Atlanta, Chanse Billings of Keller, Texas; great-grandchildren Nathan, Aly, Taylor, Corey, Baily, Brenna, Jaylee, Kylee, and Lexee.
The Rev. Casey Heilman will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in the name of Doris Billings and may be sent to Hospice of Midland at 911 W. Texas Ave. Midland, Texas 79701.
