Harry L. Patton, 74, of Clovis, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, in Clovis.
He was born on Oct. 6, 1930, in Clovis, to Perkins L. and Katherine Garvin Patton.
He was an attorney and practiced in Clovis for many years. He served as the city of Clovis attorney for 29 years and as council for ENMR from 1987 to 1993. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was instrumental in the development of the kindergarten program. He was a “Life Master” in Duplicate Bridge and traveled extensively to play in bridge tournaments. He was a U.S. Army veteran and family members said he enjoyed listening to classical music.
The Rev. Perkins Patton will officiate the services.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a half-brother, Houston Garvin Williams; and two grandsons, Matthew Kyle Patton and Marc Ryan Patton.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn Travis of Clovis; a son, Bill Patton (and wife, Ronee) of Lubbock; and three grandchildren, Joshua Patton Travis, Lara Nicole Patton and Brandi Lea Patton.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial contributions may be made to Meals-on-Wheels or the Disabled American Veterans in Clovis.
