Martha Jo Robinson, 80, of Amherst, Texas, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004 at the Harmonee House in Amherst.

She was born on Aug. 28, 1924, in Chillichothe, Texas, to Elmer and Mary Lance. She married Leon Robinson on Feb. 28, 1948, in Amherst. She moved with her family to Amherst in 1946. Family members said she enjoyed cooking, gardening, and sewing. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Amherst.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Gary Robinson (and wife, Debbie) of Clovis, and Roger Glen Robinson of Abilene, Texas; a daughter, Brenda Sue Robinson of Amherst; a brother, Harold Lance of Quanah, Texas; a sister, Virginia Young of Amherst; five grandchildren, Tara Gerou (Greg) and Chris Robinson (Jeanette) all of Jackson, Mich., Candace, Tanner and Teral Christesson all of Clovis; four great-grandchildren, Carson and Harlie Robinson, Eastor Gerou and Kalyn Christesson.

The Rev. Mike Butts will officiate the services.

Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Amherst.

Pallbearers will be W.T. Weaver Jr., Leroy Maxfield, Joe VanDyck, R.J. Cook, Chris Robinson and Ronnie Shroeder.

Memorial contributions may be sent to a favorite charity.
