Viola Krigbaum, 90, of Fort Sumner, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at Laurel Ridge Nursing Home in Clovis.

She was born on July 15, 1914 in Lone Wolf, Okla., to Arther McDonald Jones and the former Ellen Millie Jane Allin. She was raised in Lone Wolf and attended school at Rock Creek, Okla. She married Hershel William Krigabum on Dec. 23, 1935, in Clovis. She was a homemaker. Family members said she enjoyed tagging along to fishing holes, gardening, was an excellent seamstress and loved to travel. She and her husband traveled in a motor home around the country for over 26 years. Family members said she loved to take road trips. While residing in Fort Sumner she attended the First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a daughter, Ellen Luby Butler; two grandchildren, Ronnie Krigbaum and Celia Krigbaum; and two brothers Cliff and Perry Jones.

Surivors include three sons, Bobby C. Krigbaum (and wife, Carla) of Snohomish, Wash., Dalton Krigbaum (Linda) of Redding, Calif., and Bill Krigbaum of College Station, Texas; a daughter, Sharon J. Miczek of Granite Falls, Wash.; five sisters, Edna Holland and Jessie Nielsen of Fort Sumner, Frances Groff of Scottsdale, Ariz., Bonita Wright of Moriarty and Art Jones of Clovis; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Rev. Wesley Holland will officiate the services.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Chavez Funeral Home in Fort Sumner.
